Big Icon and Sketch
The challenge was to do a scalable, all-vector illustration that would appear in the Apple Toolbar, the application itself, and on the company website.
I got a call from a friend, Charlie Wood who runs Spanning Partners, a cool little development group. They've created a decent tool that syncs between Apple's iCal and Google Calendar. He mentioned having some troubles getting an icon made from a developer overseas, and asked if I could help out.
The deadline was tight, so we worked quickly and managed to decide on a sketch. As with any icon, the challenge is to not only get something that looks good at high-resolution, but down to 32 x 32 and 16 x 16 pixels square. This is the end result.

The Full Spread
The challenge was to do a scalable, all-vector illustration that could be printed as two-page spread in the trade magazine Blackbook: RAW.
Sampling from a variety of sources, this illustration hopefully creates an eye-catching spread that will make art directors poop themselves and start throwing money at us.

Example of postcards
The challenge was to do a scalable, all-vector illustration that could be printed as a flyer, poster, or as large as a Billboard.
A loose, hand-drawn line and dramatic lighting was used with the Genie imagery to add to the 'magic' of panel discussion. The result is an iconic and memorable look and feel.

A combination of various t-shirt designs from the site were used with a photo of the owner's seventh grade football portrait (go Broncos!).
With the Brodeo teaser page, the challenge is to be seasonal (in this case 'fall') and attractive, so a potential buyer will want to dig deeper.

Example of postcards
The main challenge for this project was to get a vintage/retro look and feel while using only vector lines (as opposed to pixels). This particular piece is great in the kitchen.
The illustration ended up being personalized, printed, and hung as an art piece. BJ used himself and his wife, Carrie as the models for the lucky recipients of the vector-cakes.

a larger version than the email illustration
Stuffman needed a catchy graphic for an email campaign promoting some good deals on fall windbreakers.
We wanted something that appealed to a more mature, conservative demographic. A reduced pallate and new take on a familiar fall icon proved successful.
